Staff can manually enter responses for an assignment for specific students or the entire class. This method of assignment delivery is typically done at the elementary level or for use cases where a test is given outside of Gradient, with student response scoring happening within Gradient.
- If student results have been scanned or submitted online, scoring can be completed by question (for an entire class at once) or by student.
- Check out observational forms for use cases where class scoring with a rubric or points would be more efficient than manual entry.
To manually score an assignment, click the View Assignments tile, select the assignment name, and navigate to the Responses tab.
Filter the Responses Tab
From the Responses tab, there are a few options to note for setting up your access to classes and students for manual entry.
- Under the scanning window on the left are FILTERS that determine what classes and students the page displays.
- Adjust the FILTERS to change the default view of Student Progress to All.
- Verify the Class FILTER to load the set of students you need to enter scores for.
Manually Enter Responses
- Select the New button on the Responses tab.
- Select the class and student you want to enter responses from the drop-down menu.
