Co-teachers may be manually added in Gradient to manually created classes or file-imported classes.
- If a roster sync with Clever or ClassLink is being used, co-teachers can also be directly added in Gradient. While this feature offers convenience, we strongly advise using your Student Information System (SIS) as the primary source of truth and recommend adding co-teachers directly to your SIS. However, for users facing challenges in their regular roster channels, this feature is now a valuable alternative.
Tip! Any staff, including co-teachers, that need access to assignments for printing forms, scanning, setting up online access, grading, or viewing reports will need the assignment author to share the assignment with them for access.
Add Co-Teachers (or Substitute Teachers/Long-Term Subs)
Co-Teachers will have the same access and permissions to co-taught classes as the primary teacher. This allows teachers rostered to the same classes/sections to assign, collect, and review learning data for all their students.
- From Admin Mode, select the Classes tab.
- Check the box before a class name to reveal the Edit icon on the toolbar. Select Edit.
Note: Check multiple boxes to add/remove Co-Teachers to/from multiple classes at once.
3. Search for and add the staff member in the co-teacher section.
4. To verify that the co-teacher has been added, visit the list view of the Classes tab, search for the class that was just updated with a co-teacher, and hover over the Co-Teacher icon to view the associated teachers.
The feature(s) mentioned are only available to Gradient for Schools & Districts subscribers. Please contact sales@gradecam.com to upgrade your subscription.
