IN THIS ARTICLE
The Classes tab, by default, displays a list view of classes connected to current Terms. The FILTERS in the left side panel can be used to view class data that is not current.
- Classes are connected to a Class ID, an academic year, one term, one school, and a primary teacher. Classes may be added to Gradient manually, as described in this article, or via a rostering method.
- For successful rostering, each section of a class, rostered in a term, must have its own unique Class ID.
Tip! Before creating a new class, it’s always a good idea to search the class name from the Classes tab (with the Term FILTER set to All) to see if the class already exists or to look for the naming convention used. Classes may be created manually for impromptu student groupings (like a practice SAT group, an after-school program, or an intervention group), assigned to a staff member, and existing students in the subscription added.
List View and Filters
- When navigating to the Classes tab, the default view is the Current Academic Year and Term. Use the FILTERS to view class data from previous academic years and terms.
- Use the Search field to find a specific class name. Remember to change the filters if the class is not current
- Use the Download icon in the toolbar to download or print class information.
Column Headers
Column headers label the data in each column. Clicking on most column headers will sort the list.
