3. Create a JumpRope Assessment
JumpRope users can download the JumpRope Export from Gradient, create an assessment in JumpRope, and import scores to their JumpRope gradebook. Follow the steps below to get started!

Importing Standards Scores
If your school is using the HYBRID or BY STANDARD JumpRope gradebook, and you wish to import scores for standards, please follow the directions below. If your school only exports assignment scores, please proceed to the next section to download the JumpRope Export from Gradient.
Note: A Gradient Leader at your school will first need to set up a District Performance Band in Gradient that corresponds with your standards scoring scale in JumpRope.
Tip! For additional information regarding how standards can be scored in JumpRope, see their Reference - Scoring Scales support article.
1. From the Assignments list, check the box before the assignment name and click the Edit icon from the toolbar. | |
2. From the edit window, click the District Performance Band drop-down and select the corresponding JumpRope Performance Band set up for you by a Gradient Leader at your school. |

3. Click SAVE. |
Gradient JumpRope Export
1. After collecting responses for your Gradient assignment, click the Reports tab. | |
2. Click the CLASSES report drop-down from the left side panel and select Overview. 3. Select one of your classes |

Note: The class name (in red) and primary teacher name (in green) pill filters will now appear in the top left corner of your screen, along with the assignment name (in purple) pill filter. | |
4. Click the assignment name pill filter to reveal a drop-down menu. Select JumpRope Export to download a CSV file. Note: Standards data will be included in the export if Standards have been added to assignment questions. |

5. 'X' the class name (in red) and primary teacher name (in green) pill filters to return to the CLASSES > Overview page. Select another class to download the JumpRope Export for a different class. |
Create a JumpRope Assessment
Log into JumpRope, select a class and gradebook, and click CREATE ASSESSMENT in the top right corner. From the Create Assessment window, populate the required fields and click SAVE.
Create Assessment - Required fields

The Classes field will already be populated with the class name. The Title, Category, Due Date, and Points fields must be populated. Note: The Points set in JumpRope should match the assignment's point value in Gradient. |
Check the boxes for all of the standards that have been added to the Gradient assignment. Note: The Gradient JumpRope Export includes the added standards that will be mapped during the import to JumpRope. |

Import to JumpRope
1. From the HYBRID gradebook, click the BY PERCENT or BY POINTS drop-down above the list of student names and confirm or CHOOSE GRADE ENTRY MODE.
Note: The corresponding choice will be selected again from the mapping window
2. Locate the created assessment from the columns of your gradebook. Click the kebab icon () from the assessment name box to reveal the drop-down menu and select Import Scores from CSV.
3. From the Bulk add Classroom Scores window, click the purple button to Upload data from file. Choose your file and click Open. Follow the step-by-step directions to map the file successfully.
BY POINTS
Column A: Name | Click Ignore this column. |
Column B: Student ID | Confirm Student ID or Email mapping and click Confirm mapping. |
Column C: Points |
1. Click Lookup matching fields and choose the assignment Category field you selected from the Create Assessment window. ie. Test, Homework (Score), Quiz, etc... 2. Click Confirm mapping. |
Column D: Score |
Click Ignore this column. |
Column E: Overall Scaled Score |
Click Ignore this column. |
Columns F, G, H, etc.. |
Confirm standards description mapping and click Confirm mapping. Note: Select the columns with headers that end with "Scaled Score" to ensure correct mapping. Tip! Click Lookup matching fields if not matching. |
