Schoology Integration for Teachers and Students. Learn how to how to create an assignment in Schoology which will allow the Schoology assignment to be mapped to a NEW or EXISTING assignment within GradeCam. Mapping assignments allows students to access GradeCam via Schoology as well as pass scores from GradeCam Gradient into the Schoology gradebook.
Add assignment criteria that will enable mapping to GradeCam.
1.1 Login into Schoology
1.2 Select 'Courses'
1.3 Select 'Add Materials'
1.4 Select 'Add file/Link/External Tool'
1.5 Select 'External Tool'
1.6 Add External Tool window 1 - Tool Provider choose 'GradeCam Gradient' 2- Title of Assignment, select 3 - Enable Grading check box to view GradeCam assignment scores in Schoology4 - Select 'Submit'Note: The name in the Configure External Tool area may vary. The name displayed is configured by your Schoology administrator. If you cannot find the GradeCam Gradient option, please contact your district’s Schoology administrator.
2.1 Select assignment from the materials window.
2.2 When mapping an assignment from Schoology to GradeCam there will be two options. New and Existing. NEW - creates a new assignment in the users GradeCam account. EXISTING - choose an assignment that has already been created in the users GradeCam account.Note: If a user does not have existing assignments in GradeCam, New is the default option.
3.1 Select 'Create'
3.2 Map Your Assignment window (1)Add Assignment Name (2)Select number of questions for assignment (Default is 10). (3) Select options to make assignment private and send scores to from GradeCam to Schoology. (4)Select 'Create Assignment'. (5)Note: Back option will return to the 'NEW' or 'Existing' window.
3.3 Online Access - Assign to GradeCam's Student Portal. See Create Online Access in Student Portal
3.4 Note:Selecting the icon in upper right will expand the GradeCam window.
3.5 GradeCam window is open within Schoology to add answer keys, attachments, change question types along with full view of all GradeCam functions.
4.1 Select 'Create'

4.4 Map Your Assignment window Select option to send scores to from GradeCam to Schoology.Select 'Map'. Note: Back option will return to the 'NEW' or 'Existing' window.
4.5 Note:Selecting the icon in upper right will expand the GradeCam window.
Note: Schoology assignments that are mapped to GradeCam, will not allow students to navigate to other GradeCam assignment.
5.1 Student selects assignment in Schoology that has been mapped to GradeCam.
5.2 GradeCam Student Portal will be the active window within Schoology for the assignment to be completed.
Deleting an assignment in Schoology does not delete OR unassign the assignment in GradeCam. In order to remove it from the student portal, the teacher will have to go into GradeCam and also unassign it from the GradeCam student portal ther
