Overview of Account Management

A Gradient Leader with access to Admin Mode can view and edit subscription level settings and roster information. If rosters are syncing you may notice that some areas can not be edited or are overwritten by the nightly sync. Contact support@gradecam.com if you need guidance.

Schools:
Gradient Leaders with Admin Mode will only have visibility into a school / district based on rostering, their assigned access group, and associated school(s).

Classes:
Classes can be created from a roster sync source (Clever, ClassLink, SFTP), from a file import, or manually from Admin Mode. Classes are connected to a unique ID, an academic year, one term, one school, and one teacher. Manual classes for impromptu student groupings (like a practice SAT group or intervention group) can be created by a Gradient Leader and assigned to a staff member using existing students.

Students:
Students can be created from a roster sync source (Clever, ClassLink, SFTP), from a file import, or manually from Admin Mode. Students are connected to a unique ID and academic year. Students can be added to one or more classes. If you are manually creating a class, search for and add students that have already been created in the school/district account to avoid duplicating an existing student.

Staff:
Staff can be created from a roster sync source (Clever, ClassLink, SFTP), from a file import, or manually from Admin Mode. Staff are connected to a unique email and are associated to a school via rostering or manually from Admin Mode. Staff members, such as directors, principals, coordinators, coaches, or support staff, must be manually associated to the school(s) they access.

Groups:
Groups are used to grant class or student access to staff beyond rostering. Groups are often created to give assignment/data access to co-teachers, substitutes, or test proctors.

Terms:
Terms can be created or managed from Admin Mode. Terms are connected to academic years, classes, and students. Terms (and their start and end dates) determine whether classes, students, and assignment data appear as “Current” within Gradient. Previous terms (including classes, students, and data) can be accessed by adjusting filters. proper manage current and previous classes and student data. Be sure to double-check term dates (and the academic year dates) to allow staff time to score and grade at the end of a term.

Imports:
Imports are used to enable a file upload of staff, classes, and/or students. A combined import is the suggested method for setting up rosters for the academic year if roster syncing is not an option.

NOTE: The ability to manage account settings via Admin Mode is only available to Gradient leaders that are part of a Gradient for Schools & Districts subscription. Please contact sales@gradecam.com to upgrade your subscription for this feature.
