Create and Manage a Class

Teachers may create and manage classes within their Gradient account.

Classes can ONLY be created, edited, or deleted by teacher subscribers of a Teacher Premium, Free Trial, or Teacher Free plan.

Classes managed by a Gradient for Schools/Districts plan must be edited at the source (Clever, ClassLink, or within Admin Mode in Gradient) to keep the assignments and data connected across the plan and allow for integrations with Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, and LockDown Browsers. Create a Class

Select Classes from the homepage or from the left sidebar navigation.

Select New to create your first class.

Fill in the required fields and select Save.

You will immediately be taken to the Students page to either manually create and add students or import students.

Edit a Class

From your left sidebar, select Classes and check the box next to the class you want to edit. Use the Edit icon to make changes to the Class Name or Period for the class. Choose Save.

Delete a Class

From your left sidebar, select Classes and check the box next to the class you want to delete. Select the Delete icon.

Confirm the deletion, which will delete all data associated to the class and students. This can not be undone!
