GradeCam will work with most document cameras and there is a simple way to confirm. Your camera needs to have a driver that will allow it to be used like a webcam. Most newer doc cams do. To check, see if you can use your document camera with any software other than the manufacturers , such as skype.
Non-discontinued models of AverMedia cameras are compatible with GradeCam. Aver+ software has created a patch that allows their cameras to be compatible with GradeCam which can be found at:www.averusa.com/presentation/download.asp
GradeCam also works with Califone, ken-A-Vision, Ipevo, many of the Qomo and Dukane (with USB connections). Our online version of GradeCam will work with most Lumens.
As for web cams, a good indication of compatibility with GradeCam is that the camera works with Skype.
We are anticipating to be compatible with current Elmo cameras by May, 2011.
Here are some suggestions to help you with your camera setup: A USB connection to your computer is needed. Make sure no other software for your camera is running the same time you want to use it with GradeCam. If the image in GradeCam does not show your camera, go into the GradeCam’s Tools tab and select-> Preferences and then select the-> Camera tab. You will see a list of USB cameras that GradeCam recognizes (your camera must be connected at this time). Select the appropriate Camera and click OK... you will need to restart.
Please use the 30-day trial to test your camera's compatibility. We appreciate any feedback on your results.
